Simple way to repair

SPEA 4040 Multimode Flying Probe Tester enables to repair the boards in a simple way, thanks to its ability of detecting fastly and with efficiency the faulty components, through the execution of parametric measurements on the faulty board. 

The powerful software included makes the repair test program generation easier, also when the board documentation is not complete or not available at all. Leonardo Fly Repair Software can generate the test program through a reverse engineering process, by the off line acquisition of the board data.

Accurate and immediate diagnostics

Leonardo Fly Repair operating system has been designed to focus on the components that, on the basis of the signaled anomaly, can be the possible causes of the failure. 

Leonardo Fly Repair tests only the components belonging to the failing chain, in order to highlight in a few seconds the non-functioning part.

 

Maximum coverage in fault detection

The high mechanical accuracy of Flying Probe tester probes enables to go beyond every problem of accessibility: testing can be performed also if there are no test pads, contacting directly the pins of the components to be tested, even if dimensions are miniaturized (also less than 0.05 mm).

The system can detect in accurate way also the anomalies due to I/O stages of the integrated circuits (analog or digital), thanks to the application of NZT technique, based on nodal impedance measurement.

The technique consists in the extremely accurate measurements of capacitive, resistive and inductive values, which are typical of each single net on the board considering a reference point, and enables to detect errors which are hardly detectable only through parametric measurements.

 

The 4040 Multimode fits perfectly in your specific production process thanks to the availability of a wide variety of board loading modules – automatic, manual or combined – adaptable for any production requirement.

The automatic loaders don’t require the constant presence of an operator in charge of the loading of the boards to be tested.

 

4040 Multimode IBL In-Line Board Loading:
Normally integrated in the production line; the board is loaded in an automated way. 
 



 
4040 Multimode IBL In-Line Board Loading Combined:
That allows mixing the advantages of the automatic board loading to the versatility of the Manual Loading. It is possible to choose to load the boards in manual way, or in automated in-line way. The system can be also equipped with a removable Shuttle mechanism, to obtain the same advantages of the Shuttle Board Loading; in this case, it is possible to equip the system with mechanism for lifting and lowering hte Shuttle mechanism.
The system with the In-Line Board Loading Combined is available in two versions: Pass Through (which is used to integrate the system in the production line) and Pass Back (which is used when the loader and the unloader of the boards are placed on the same side of the system).
 


The modules of Manual Loading are preferred when the production volumes are not large, or when the boards have irregular shape.


4040 Multimode SBL Shuttle Board Loader:
the loading of the boards is performed outside the testing area; an appropriate mechanism, the Shuttle, transports the board into the testing area. This solution is very ergonomic and allows an easy access to the system and a simple equipping (for example, with contrasts, beds of nails, interface connection, instrumentation for powered functional testing). 
 




4040 Multimode FBL Front Board Loading: the loading of the board is performed directly into the testing area. This solution, in a reduced footprint, allows equipping the system with the Dual Side Probing option.
